It’s WSOP Season!

The 2009 World Series of Poker is right around the corner. If you’d like to get in on the action, you better hurry up because registration is already beginning. The Main Event doesn’t start until July so satellites tournaments are still running around the clock at PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker.

PokerStars WSOP Satellites

If you qualify for a WSOP prize package through PokerStars, you’ll get more than just your entry fee paid for. The PokerStars WSOP prize packages are worth $12,000 and include all of the following:

• $10,000 Main Event entry
• $1,000 Spending money
• 8 nights at the Palms plus extra nights if you make it deep into the tournament

Once you download the PokerStars software and create an account, you’ll see a list of the WSOP satellites under the Events > WSOP tab in the PokerStars lobby.

Satellites start for as low as a couple of bucks or a few frequent player points. If you win a seat and play in the Main Event, PokerStars will credit your player account with 100,000 frequent player points. Unlike most poker rooms, FPPs at PokerStars are actually quite valuable.

Full Tilt Poker WSOP Satellites

Full Tilt has a ton of opportunities for you to win a seat to the WSOP. As of today, more than 450 Full Tilt players have already won packages to the 2009 WSOP.
