Poker Tournament Strategy
Ever since Chris Moneymaker won the 2003 World Series of Poker after qualifying through an online poker tournament, poker tournaments have taken off tremendously.
There’s nothing better than buying in for a small fee and turning it into a six figure payday that very same day. The allure is undeniable but if you want to have a serious chance at the big money, it wouldn’t hurt to brush up on your tournament strategy.

Double or Nothing Tournament Strategy
Tournament poker requires a completely different skill set than regular cash games. In tournaments the goal is to stay alive for as long as possible and eventually win every single chip in play. You can’t top off your chip stack in tournaments like you can in cash games and that alone completely changes the strategy.
In addition to that, the blinds are constantly growing larger in tournaments. You’ll see a lot of desperate all-in plays as the tournament drags on and players feel the pressure of the ever-increasing blinds bearing down on them.
It requires a great deal of patience to be a tournament player because wins are infrequent and disappointments common. If you can stick with it, however, the rewards are absolutely massive. A single win in a major online poker tournament can be worth more money than what most people make in an entire year of work.
