I highly recommend you read the entire strategy guide. The topics may appear very basic based on the names alone, but once you read through the sections, you will not be disappointed. This strategy guide is very different from those that most sites offer. Additionally, I highly recommend you read the articles as well. They are just as important as the strategy guide and they discuss some of the more advanced concepts.

This guide (like all other poker books) is not capable of giving you the secret to making easy, instant money. Poker is a game that cannot be mastered overnight and there are no easy success secrets. Experience is the most important factor in becoming a successful poker player. Some people learn this game very quickly, others progress more slowly, but in all cases, experience is the key.

On the other hand, poker is not a very complicated game. The rules are simple and most of your small stakes opponents are easy enough to beat. It just takes experience to recognize certain situations and be able to act accordingly. There are some basic guidelines that winning players keep in mind when playing and this guide aims to pass these ideas on.

The first couple of sections are self-explanatory; after that the guide will progress in chronological order the way an actual poker hand would progress. After that will be the more advanced topics. I strongly recommend everyone going through as much of the guide as possible. Even experienced players should read my pre-flop section because its less of a hand chart (like most strategy sites offer) than it is an explanation of the concepts behind the plays we make before the flop. It's always a good thing to touch up on the basics. Additionally, it's good to read what other people have to say about poker strategy and then decide for yourself if you agree or disagree.
