Doyle's Room Review, Bonus and Download
After a brief period of not accepting US players, Doyle's Room has returned to the US market! The gambling ban of 2006 pushed many sites out of the US market but over time a few have trickled back. Doyle's Room is a small site but it's still growing and now has the power of the Microgaming Network behind it. One of the coolest things about Doyle's Room is that you can get the chance to play against poker legends like Doyle Brunson, Mike Caro, T.J. Cloutier and others.
Doyle's Room Bonus
Doyle's Room offers a 110% first time sign up bonus of up to $550. If you deposit $500, for example, Doyle's will match you with a $550 bonus. The bonus requires you to earn 90 Action Points per dollar before it is released in one lump sum. I personally like bonuses that are given out in a lump sum rather than paid out in smaller increments. When you get that sudden $550 deposit, it really gives you a sense of satisfaction.
Software
The lobby is easy to use with a list of game filters along the left side and a stakes filter that runs along the top. These filters make it easy to narrow down the list of tables so you can quickly find the tables you want.
The tables have crisp, clean graphics and a simple design. There isn't a bunch of clutter on the tables so it's easy to see where the action is and how big the pot is. The cards are dealt quickly and the wait time between hands is minimal.
Other features include:
- Resizable and tile-able tables
- Instant hand histories
- Customizable player avatars
- Customizable table themes
Traffic
The traffic is Doyle's Room's biggest negative. The site has only recently returned to the United States where the biggest customer base is so things are a little slow right now. You shouldn't have a problem finding no limit games at 1/2 NL and below but anything at 2/4 NL and higher can be sporadic outside of peak hours.
High stakes games do run at Doyle's Room, just not as often as at some of the bigger sites. Sometimes games as high as 200/400 NL ($40,000 buyin) do run, however, so it's not like the site is totally dead.
Competition
Out of all the poker sites, you'll find some of the weakest competition at Doyle's Room. Grinders and multi-tabling pros avoid this site like the plague because of its low traffic levels. On top of that, many of the multi-tablers entrenched themselves at other sites during the brief period Doyle's Room stopped accepting US players.
Customer Service
The customer service at Doyle's Room is so exceptional that I decided to add an extra category just for this review. Unlike the vast majority of other poker sites, Doyle's Room makes its customer support phone number easy to find. You can call customer support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. E-mail support and live chat is also available 24 hours a day.

- eWalletExpress
- Electronic Checks
- InstaDebit
