I highly recommend you read the entire strategy guide. The topics may appear very basic based on the names alone, but once you read through the sections, you will not be disappointed. This strategy guide is very different from those that most sites offer.

Additionally, I recommend you read my poker strategy articles when you’re finished with this guide. They are just as important as the strategy guide and they discuss some of the more advanced concepts.

This guide (like all other poker books) is not capable of giving you the secret to making easy, instant money. Poker is a game that cannot be mastered overnight and there are no easy success secrets. Experience and hard are the most important factors in becoming a successful poker player.

If you think about it, poker isn’t a very complicated game. The rules are simple and most of your small stakes opponents are easy enough to beat. It just takes experience to recognize certain situations and know how to take advantage of them. There is a set of basic principles that winning players use to make money and the purpose of this strategy guide is to pass those same principles on to you.

The first couple of sections are self-explanatory; after that the guide will progress in chronological order the way an actual poker hand would progress. After that will be the more advanced topics. I strongly recommend everyone read through the entire strategy guide.

Even experienced players should read my pre-flop section because its less of a hand chart (like most strategy sites offer) than it is an explanation of the concepts behind the plays we make before the flop. It’s always a good thing to touch up on the basics. Additionally, it’s good to read what other people have to say about poker strategy and then decide for yourself if you agree or disagree.
