Bodog Poker has a two part bonus. Your first deposit gets you a 10% instant cash bonus and then you can earn up to $500 of additional bonus money depending on how many points you earn during your first 30 days at Bodog.

Example:

If you deposit $500, you will have $50 deposited straight to your account and you’d have a total of $550 to play with.  If you go on to earn 5,000 points in the first 30 days you’ll receive an additional $500.

Bodog Poker Software

The biggest strength of Bodog’s software is how simple and straightforward it is. I’m not a fan of poker sites that place an emphasis on photo-realistic graphics – it tends to get cluttered and annoying that way.

Bodog’s software is clean and clutter-free, which is exactly what I like. The simple table design makes it easy to tell whose turn it is, how big the pot is and who is still in the hand.  Some people might consider the simple table design a weakness but I think it’s a major strength.  Usability should always come before pretty graphics.

The one major weakness of Bodog’s software is that players may only play up to 3 tables at a time.  I have no idea why Bodog would want to limit players in this way – some of the biggest rakers are multi-tablers who play 8 or more tables at a time.  If Bodog removed this restriction I could honestly say that it has the best software in the industry.

Bodog Poker Traffic

During peak hours you can expect to see somewhere between 2,500 and 3,500 players online at a time.  The traffic is definitely lower than what I’d like to see but you won’t have any problems finding tables to play at.  The high stakes action can be sporadic at times but there are always medium and low stakes games going.

The good news is that Bodog is full of fish.  The 3 table maximum keeps most of the multi-tabling grinders away.  If you like to play poker against easy competition (and who doesn’t) Bodog is the place to go.
