PokerStars Marketing Code
The marketing code is entered when you first sign up for an account at PokerStars. At the main page of the site, you’ll see a “Play Now” button that you can click to get started. You’ll be prompted to download the software and then create an account.
When you see the screen below, you will want to type in the marketing code PSP11467.
The PokerStars marketing code is used to identify which sources work the best for sending players to PokerStars. It’s their little way of doing marketing research on the internet.
PokerStars is one of the top 3 poker sites on the internet so even though it has a small bonus, you’ll have to check them out eventually. The cash games are phenomenal but the tournament scene is even better. PokerStars has the biggest and most cash-laden tournaments in the world.
PokerStars Bonus Code
After you get your account created, the next step is to make your first deposit. Inside the poker software, you can click on the “cashier” button to make a deposit. Just follow the onscreen instructions and you’ll be able to deposit pretty easily.
At some point during the deposit process, you’ll be asked for your PokerStars bonus code. This is the point at which you type in the bonus code Stars50. This is the second and final code you’ll have to use at PokerStars.
About the Bonus
After you make a deposit using these codes, your bonus will be awarded to you automatically. This is a 100% match bonus which means PokerStars will basically double your first deposit for up to $50 extra.
You can deposit more than $50 and still get the extra money, but it maxes out at $50 extra. Even if you are planning on making a big deposit, PokerStars is a great place to do it. An extra $50 never hurts – especially when it’s earned at the most trusted poker site of them all.
Clearing the Bonus
Poker sites don’t just give away free money and then let it be withdrawn right away. They’d all go broke if that was the case. What poker sites do to prevent that from happening is require their players to earn a certain number of frequent player points or play a certain number of hands before the bonus money can be cashed out.
At PokerStars, the requirement is that you earn 100 Frequent Player Points (FPPs) for every $10 worth of bonus money. So if you earn a $50 bonus, you’ll need to earn 500 FPPs before withdrawing the bonus money.
FPPs are earned by playing in real money cash games and tournaments. The more rake you generate, the more FPPs you earn. Player Points are easy to earn so you shouldn’t have any problems clearing this bonus.
