PokerStars has just released a special $600 first time deposit bonus. They had a weak, $50 bonus for years but finally decided to up the ante with a massive $600 bonus.
Current PokerStars players: Don’t feel left out – you weren’t forgotten this time around. You all can take advantage of a limited time reload bonus. It’s a 50% deposit bonus for up to $300 in extra cash (use the bonus code WCOOP). You can read more about the PokerStars reload bonus here.
PokerStars $600 Deposit Bonus
This is a 100% match bonus for up to $600 in bonus money. You can get this deposit all at once or you can use up to 3 different deposits (spread across a total of up to 90 days) to get up to $600 added to your account.
So if you sign up today and deposit $300, you’ll get $300 added. If you make another $300 deposit 2 weeks later, you’ll get a second $300 on top of that. Or you can just deposit $600 and get the bonus all it once. It’s all up to you.
Clearing the PokerStars Bonus
As soon as you make a deposit and use the bonus code STARS600, your bonus money will be placed in a special bonus area inside your player account. You’ll then have to earn 17 VPPs per dollar in bonus money to release this bonus. Every time you earn $10 worth of bonus money, that amount will automatically transfer from your bonus account to your real money account.
VPPs are pretty easy to earn at PokerStars but micro stakes players will take longer than people who play higher limits. In any case, you should be fine because you’ll have six months to clear the entire bonus.
Earning VPPs
VPP Points, or VIP Player Points, are earned by playing in real money ring games and tournaments at PokerStars. For every dollar you pay in rake or in tournament fees, you’ll earn 5 VPPs.
For example, if you play in a ring game and $1.00 is raked from your pot, you’ll earn 5 VPPs. This also works in the same way in tournaments. If you play in a $10 + $1 tournament, you’ll earn 5 VPPs. These VPPs can also be won in fractions when the rake doesn’t reach a full dollar.
What about the old $50 bonus?
The old $50 PokerStars deposit bonus is still available if you don’t plan on depositing much money. This bonus is a little easier to clear because it only requires 10 VPPs per dollar in bonus money. You can read about the $50 PokerStars bonus here.
