All existing PokerStars players are eligible for a 50% deposit on any deposit made before August 14^th. After you make that initial deposit, you can then also get 50% added to the next two deposits you make within 90 days of your initial deposit. The maximum bonus amount for all three deposits is $300.

This deposit bonus is awarded on a 50% match basis. So if you make a $300 deposit, you’ll get an extra $150 added to it. After that, you’ll have a 90 day window in which you can make up to two more deposits to get your entire $300 reload bonus. Of course, you can always just deposit a flat $600 right now and get your entire $300 in one chunk.

Clearing the PokerStars Reload Bonus

Your bonus amount is considered pending until you earn 25 VPPs per dollar in bonus money. This means that if you make a $600 deposit and earn a $300 bonus, you’ll need to earn a total of 7,500 VPPs to release the full bonus amount.

Once you earn the total number of necessary VPPs, the bonus amount is moved from your bonus account and placed in your real money account. Lump sum bonuses such as this one have always been my favorite. I don’t like the ones in which you earn $10 at a time because it feels underwhelming when comparing it to a big bonus like this one in which you get the entire bonus all at once.

Earning PokerStars VPPs

PokerStars VPPs are earned by playing in real money cash games and tournaments. You automatically earn 5 VPPs for each dollar you pay in rake or tournament fees. So if you play in $5 + $0.50 tournament, you’ll earn 2.5 VPPs. In cash games you earn VPPs based on the amount of rake you pay.

VPPs are automatically added to your account as you play at PokerStars. As soon as you earn the required number of VPPs, your bonus will be released and you still get to keep all your VPPs.
